A Timeless NYC Wedding

There’s something timeless about a New York City wedding, and the beautiful celebration between Zana and Visar perfectly encapsulates everything couples love about tying the knot in the heart of Manhattan. From romantic portraits in Central Park to a rooftop cocktail hour overlooking the Empire State Building, every detail was filled with classic New York charm—and all of it was captured on film for a truly nostalgic and artful feel.

Zana and Visar met at work in Kosovo when Zana was completing an internship there. After several years of a long distance romance and many reunions overseas, Visar moved stateside to be with her. Their wedding was full of details unique to them and their love story. They got married in the same church that the bride attended as a child, with the same priest who taught her religion classes growing up. We took photos together in Central Park where Visar proposed with his handmade scrapbook that documented their multi year long distance love story. Zana used the rosary that her grandmother used to pray with every day.

After their Central Park photos, guests gathered for a rooftop cocktail hour with an incredible view of the Empire State Building. The New York skyline added a dramatic and unforgettable backdrop as friends and family toasted to the newlyweds. The warm glow of sunset reflecting off the city buildings created the dreamiest atmosphere, blending romance with the undeniable energy of NYC.

Every moment of this wedding highlighted what makes a New York City celebration so unique: the mix of iconic architecture, natural beauty, and the sense that love here is larger than life. From the candid laughter during cocktail hour to the quiet, intimate moments in the park, each frame told a story that felt personal yet universal.

If you’re planning a wedding in New York, combining Central Park portraits with a rooftop reception is the perfect way to capture both the romance and energy of the city. Shot entirely on film, this wedding is a reminder that New York will always be one of the most cinematic places to say “I do.”
